How do I submit my manuscript?
Email your manuscript as a PDF, DOCX, or zipped LaTeX source file to manuscripts@aperturepapers.com, together with a short cover note and author details. The editorial office acknowledges every submission within one working day and confirms whether it enters peer review after an initial editorial screen.
What disciplines does Aperture Papers publish?
Aperture Papers is an independent open-access publisher for the life and molecular sciences. Our founding title focuses on basic and translational biochemistry, with adjacent titles in molecular biology, cell biology, and allied biomedical research entering the editorial pipeline. How long does the review process take?
Initial editorial screening is completed within seven days. A structured double-blind review typically returns a first decision within four to six weeks, with documented backup-reviewer rules to keep timelines predictable.
Do authors retain copyright?
Yes. Every accepted article is published under a CC BY 4.0 licence and authors retain full copyright. Readers may reuse the work with attribution; you never sign your copyright over to the publisher.
Is the peer review double-blind?
Yes. Every manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers under a double-blind model — author and reviewer identities are mutually anonymous. Reviewer reports follow a structured template and our published peer-review policy.
Are you indexed in DOAJ / Scopus yet?
Not yet. Aperture Papers is a new open-access publisher; ISSN registration is under process and DOAJ, Scopus, and other index applications are prepared once the inaugural volume is published. Every article is assigned a DOI and archived independently in the meantime.
