All articles published by Aperture Papers are open access from the moment of publication. There is no subscription, embargo, or paywall on any part of the published version of record.
Licence
Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Readers are free to share and adapt the work — including for commercial purposes — provided that appropriate credit, a link to the licence, and an indication of any changes are given.
Copyright
Authors retain full copyright in their articles. Aperture Papers receives the right of first publication and a non-exclusive licence to distribute the article under CC BY 4.0. See the Copyright Policy for details.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
Open access is funded by an Article Processing Charge paid on acceptance, not on submission. Fee schedules and waiver eligibility are described on the APC page. Editorial decisions are made independently of any ability to pay.
Deposit and archiving
- Authors are permitted — and encouraged — to self-archive the published version in institutional repositories, subject repositories, and personal websites, without embargo.
- Preprint deposits made before or during peer review are permitted and must be disclosed at submission.
- Aperture Papers will pursue long-term preservation and third-party archiving arrangements appropriate to a newly launched publisher; formal indexing and preservation memberships will be listed publicly only once confirmed.
Reuse by authors and readers
- Authors may reuse their published figures, tables, and text in subsequent work with attribution.
- Third parties may reuse content under CC BY 4.0 by citing the original article and DOI, when assigned.
